Berkey PF-2™ Reduction Elements – Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction

Function and Effectiveness

Berkey PF-2™ reduction elements are specifically designed to reduce unwanted contaminants such as fluoride and arsenic found in drinking water, as well as certain residual heavy metal ions.

Targeted Contaminants

• Fluoride: sodium fluoride, sodium fluorosilicate, fluorosilicic acid

• Arsenic: arsenic V and pre-oxidized arsenic III

• Other residual heavy metal ions

Technical Features

• Made from polypropylene #5, a safe, durable, BPA-free material

• Sold as a set of 2 elements

• Each set provides optimal filtration for up to 3,785 liters before replacement

• Compatible only with Black Berkey® purification elements

• Installation: mounts in the lower chamber, directly onto the base of the Black Berkey® elements installed in the upper chamber

• The number of PF-2™ elements must match the number of Black Berkey® elements
  (example: 4 Black Berkey® filters require 4 PF-2™ elements)

• Use of PF-2™ elements reduces water flow by approximately 15–20%
